This course will offer attendees hands-on, practical learning as we explore pruning a variety of tree forms, from free-standing bush or standard trees to renovating slightly neglected cordons and espaliers.

You will learn

• Different pruning techniques
• Theory of pruning and reasons for summer pruning
• Maximising fruit production

This course will take place at my original nursery site, just a few minutes away from my current site, where the trees are more established and better suited to pruning demonstrations. Please bring along any pruning tools you may have, as I will discuss and advise on recommended equipment and upkeep.

Including a light homemade lunch.
