Popular dual-purpose apple variety, raised in Scotland at the end of the 19th century. It is a very juicy apple, producing plenty of sharp-tasting apple juice. By mid-late September the flavour will be sweeter and an excellent eating apple to enjoy by itself or with a cheese board.
